University of Buffalo, Erie County Medical Center
Head and Neck Pathology Fellowship
Opening for July 2016
The Division of Anatomic Pathology at the University of Buffalo and Erie County Medical Center offers a one-year fellowship experience in Head and Neck Pathology. The Erie County Medical Center (ECMC) is positioned to develop as a Center of Excellence for Head and Neck Oncology in Western New York. Head and Neck Oncology is an active and growing multidisciplinary service. The Fellow will have opportunities for graduated sign-out responsibilities and independent intraoperative assessment in our newly renovated facilities. He/she will be encouraged to participate in ongoing translational research projects which include an innovative computational pathology platform.
The program is directed by Dr. Margaret S Brandwein-Gensler, Professor of Pathology, Chief of Service, Pathology, ECMC, Vice-Chair, University of Buffalo, Department of Pathology and Anatomical Sciences.
The fellow must have completed a residency in either Anatomic Pathology (AP) or Anatomic and Clinical Pathology (AP/CP) and be eligible for a New York State Medical License. Occasionally, fellows are accepted in the middle of training, but most are in their 5th or 6th year of training. Stipends are commensurate with the level of postgraduate training in Pathology
An application, curriculum vitae, and three letters of reference are necessary.
